碳纤维增强PTFE复合材料的摩擦磨损性能研究

摘 要:实验选用螺旋碳纤维(CMCs)和直碳纤维(SCF)填充改善聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)的综合性能。测试了纯PTFE及其复合材料的摩擦磨损、硬度、抗压强度等性能,并利用扫描电镜对磨损表面及残留在表面的磨屑和转移膜进行形貌观察。结果表明:添加其中任何一种碳纤维都会不同程度地提高PTFE复合材料的摩擦因数,高载下的摩擦因数稍低于低载下的摩擦因数,另外,随着碳纤维含量的增加,其耐磨性能逐步提高,磨损率下降;直纤维增强复合材料的硬度呈先增大后减小的趋势,螺旋碳纤维增强复合材料的硬度则缓慢提高,两种纤维均可使抗压强度提高,且螺旋碳纤维的效果更为明显,从断裂位移可以看出,碳纤维的添加大大改善了纯PTFE的塑性性能。[著者文摘]

A Study on the Friction and Wear Properties of PTFE Composites Filled with Carbon Fiber and Carbon Micro-CoilsXIANG Dong-hu,XI Bo,ZHU Ya-boSchool of Materials Science and Engineering,China University of Mining and Technology,Xuzhou Jiangsu 221116,ChinaAbstract:In this research,Carbon Fiber(CF) and Carbon Micro-Coils(CMCs) were used to added into the PTFE to improve its comprehensive performance,such as the performance of friction,wear and hardness.The worn surfaces and the abrasive dust and transfer films were investigated by SEM.The experiment shows that both kinds of fibers can effectively promote their respective worn resistance,and the experiment of hardness and compression strength demonstrated that CF strengthened the changing tendency of hardness value of the PTFE Composites which was firstly increased and then decreased,but when it comes to the CMCs,the hardness value was slightly increased,yet,both CMCs and CF did improve the compression strength value.Ultimate results indicate that fiber can enhance the friction and wear properties of composite materials,and the enhancement is obvious,but more researches are necessary in order to obtain the best ratio parameters and good mechanical properties of materials.[著者文摘]
